power adapter questions

#1 Post by Whitieiii » Sun Jun 03, 2018 2:57 am

I just bought a Lenovo 65W DC Travel Adapter (Slim Tip) (Lenovo part number 0B47481) and want to know if anybody has any experience with this adapter? is it good? I bought this because it was cheaper then a true signwave inverter plus they don't make a 120w cigarette lighter inverter that's true signwave to my knowledge.... I'm wanting to use this in my van to charge my T440s with the 3-cell 23.5 Watt hour internal and 6-cell 72 Watt hour (Thinkpad Battery 68+) external batteries from time to time on my road trip/while I'm camping... would it powerful enough to work while I'm using the laptop or would the laptop need to be powered off? i'd like to use my laptop to watch movies and videos before bed and maybe some light web browsing because I've got unlimited AT&T hotspot but how is your experience with this power adapter?

It acts just like a desktop 65w psu.

Whatever you do with a wall powered one, this one acts the same.

Obviously not intended for high power uses like the W series.
