Thinkpad4by3's evil TP challenge.
Hehe...welcome foolish mortals. I give you this chilling challenge...to find WHAT THIS THINKPAD IS!!! HAHAHAHA!!!
Thinkpad4by3's Law of the Universe.
The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

Easy ! Look at this 6-row, island keyboard : it's not a Thinkpad

Thinking outside the box I say, or dare I say...outside the keyboard. (you can shoot me for that pun if you want, I know it was bad)
Good answer Summilux.

Re: Thinkpad4by3's evil TP challenge.
I never said it SHOULD be a Thinkpad.
S431? Close, but no cigar.
Yes...I am quite evil .
Just an early Halloween post for a little bit of scary Thinkpads!

Obviously, it's a ThinkPad S3
If it isn't a S431, it's a S440. Both models were named "S3" in China.

Since it has a clunkpad it must be an xx40 machine.
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)
Lenovo: X240, X250, T440p, T480, M900 Tiny.
PS: the old Boardroom website is still available on the Wayback Machine.

Re: Thinkpad4by3's evil TP challenge.
Good thinking in principle, but there are non-xx40 machines with the clickpad. Namely the T431s, X230s, S431, S531, E431 and E531.
The pictured machine has a single wide bar-hinge with a 14 inch screen – only the S models used this design. Since its apparently not the S431, it has to be the S440.

Re: Thinkpad4by3's evil TP challenge.
We have a winner, well mostly. It is an S440 but it was rebadged as the S3 for the China market only. Same model..close enough...Ibthink gets 10 internet points and a gold star .

Re: Thinkpad4by3's evil TP challenge.
Is this because 'S440' would be a controversial name in CN?
4 = dead (roughly)
So the Clunkpad S-dead-ded-zero wouldnt go down well.
3 is good number in china though.
Yeah this isnt any laptop that many would aspire to here although the T440p is supposed to be a diamond in the rought althought that too has a 'dead dead' name.

I don't have a clue but sound like a legitimate reason.TonyJZX wrote: ↑Wed Oct 10, 2018 5:11 pmIs this because 'S440' would be a controversial name in CN?

If Lenovo thought about numbering, why did Lenovo release the TP13 not *.*350
