Class action case against Lenovo settles - $40 payout for 2014-15 laptops with adware (no Thinkpads listed)

A class action court case against Lenovo has just been settled which will result in a payout of $40 to buyers of Lenovo machines in 2014 and 2015 that included "Superfish" adware.

It does not appear that any of the affected devices were Thinkpads. Here is a quote from the settlement PDF:
The Settlement Class is defined as:
All Persons who purchased one or more of the following computers, not for resale, within the
United States between September 1, 2014 and February 28, 2015:
• G Series: G410, G510, G710, G40-70, G50-70, G40-30, G50-30, G50-45
• U Series: U430P, U430Touch, U530Touch
• Y Series: Y40-70, Y50-70
• Z Series: Z50-75, Z40-70, Z50-70
• Flex Series: Flex2 14D, Flex2 15D, Flex2 14, Flex2 15, Flex2 15(BTM), Flex 10
• MIIX Series: MIIX2-10, MIIX2-11
• YOGA Series: YOGA2Pro-13, YOGA2-13, YOGA2-11BTM, YOGA2-11HSW
One would hope that Lenovo learned their lesson from this case and that we won't see these adware/crapware/bloatware issues in Thinkpads moving forward, but somehow, I have my doubts.

I had always thought SuperFish was installed on some ThinkPads by default?
For a little bit, I thought it was included in an update. I'm too dumb to remember if my refurbished X1C3 came with that junk included before I installed linux.
