ThinkPad announces T495, T495s, and X395, which are AMD-powered.

This muddies the Intel-CPU naming convention of the T4xx series...
but then again, the T4xx (and other T5xx / X3xx) series are running of numbers to choose from...

Thinkpad4by3's Law of the Universe.

The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

FlexView gets you excited? Almost every display is "FlexView" (IPS) these days.

I wanted the display to actually be branded as FlexView. It's not the same without those 8 letters  !

Agreed, I have been waiting on the next ThinkPad purchase for this reason.
It is exciting that these systems have Ryzen Pro CPUs, these CPUs also support ECC RAM, which I assume these systems would be able to support that as well.
I wonder what will happen when the numbers run out...

This just in, the new Thinkpad T495 beats every single apple product in CPU performance because they installed a cooling fan.

I just don't know how photo or video editors can take the new Apple Macbook Pro seriously after they removed the SD card slot and gimped everyone with 2 or 4 USB-C slots.
