Laptop Collection Storage

#1 Post by EXTRAordinary » Mon Jul 25, 2022 6:11 pm

I have amassed quite a few ThinkPads and am trying to find the best way to store them. I am thinking about putting vertical dividers in a plastic storage bin and putting them in it with a snug fitting lid. Are there any concerns with storing multiple laptops together like this? Any danger of outgassing from the laptops or bin causing damage to them? Any other storage ideas? Thanks

The only concern that comes to mind is what has happened to my PC110 over the years and what happens to most other classic laptops that don't see active usage and electric current through them.

Screen yellowing and darkening. Eventually, leading to a complete failure of the screen. More prevalent in TFT models, but can happen to them all.
