701 - sad story

So, since no one in my RL would understand my sadness...

I was recently doing some volunteer work for a local e-Cycler and was telling the guys the story about all of the Thinkpads that I have owned, including highlights of my own museum. I mentioned this REALLY COOL one that is hard to find and sells for a ton! I explained how neat the 701/701C/701CS was. I explained the butterfly feature and they agreed it was cool. Showed them a few pictures...

I kid you not...45 minutes later, a guy came through dropping off old computer stuff and there was a FREAKING BUTTERFLY in there!!!! It killed me.... I had to put that little baby in the recycle pile. Nothing I could do about it... Such a sad day.

Granted it was in rough shape and quite sticky. He mentioned that it still worked. Shoot me now. Ugggghhhh

Was there a law that said it had to be recycled? You couldn't have purchased it from them?

Once he put it in the cart, we are under contract to follow through with the process.

If I were you I would just "lose" it mid-process or rip it off xD
