A year ago their stock price was only slightly above $40 if memory serves. Today, it is, what, around $30? His comments are perfectly in line with that, in that case.

Article posted above by The Insider wrote:"Really, they are still very China-centric," Rollins said. "If you look at where they’d grown, where their profitability resides, it's still a Chinese business." He said Lenovo had "questionable" profitability.

"Their growth is actually deteriorating. The question is, can they continue to compete globally, versus continuing to compete in China," Rollins said. "It's why they changed their CEO, I assume."

Late last year, Lenovo tapped William Amelio, who was then a Dell senior vice president for Asia-Pacific, to take over as CEO, replacing Steven Ward. In response to an audience question about Dell executives who have recently chosen to leave the company, Rollins indicated it was not a big deal for his company.

"Some have left because they were drawn away by an opportunity we could not give them. Some, we were fine with them leaving," Rollins said. "And you'll have to figure out which is which … If there is someone who just wants desperately to have a CEO title, they’re not going to get it at Dell,” Rollins said. "They’ll have to get it somewhere else."
I just went to Fidelity's website and looked up the stock for Lenovo and Dell. Guess what? Over the past year, Lenovo's stock went up about 45%, while Dell's stock went down about 25%. How can Rollins make those statements? :?

Signs of our times, but we don't have to like it. "Don't sell your product on it's good points, sell your product by tearing down the competition."

And that, ladies and gents, goes all the way to the US presidential election. Unfortunately, I voted for Bush because I thought Kerry would be even worse. (Now I'm regretting that.)

Most forums, even specialized ones, leave people post political in some dedicated area. Usually these remain readable and there is always a moderator to correct up things if needed.
I seldom post on them, but like to read them to get an idea of what people is thinking, in this case people with thinkpada hanging out in a forum. Is just a minority but I've read a lot of intelligent commentary and debates at times.

Haha (slaps knee) ... boldface apparently ineffective. Suggest aggressive use of boldface plus italics, underline, color, and blinking text if available. Add 1/2 or so gratuitous emoticons.
