New R series ?

Anyone knows whether there is a chance new R models will have FlexView (IPS) displays back ? Latest model was R51, I was very disappointed that R52 no longer offers any model with FlexView :-/

I'm 99% sure the answer is no.

When the R50 and 51 were new, there was no T series that could accomodate a 15" IPS display. Once the T42 series hit, there was a 15" T series chasis and the 15" T series became the mobile workstation machine.

IPS displays are considered premium upgrades, and will probably stay on the T series for that reason. The R series is more budget oriented.
