Getting a 404 on that page. :(

Well, I would think that is a bit redundant isn't it? Core *2* Duo? :shock:

Almost makes me think that there are going to be four cores in it. Like the new Intel Tukwila Itanium is supposed to have.

I think the '2' makes sense... though it does seem redundant at first.

Core = original generation, Yonah
Core 2 = Merom/Conroe
Core 3 = Nehalem

So the number is the generation of the core, and the Solo/Duo/Quadro is the # of cores.

So in 2008, if Intel has a 4-core Nahalem, it will be called Core 3 Quadro :D

Ah, that makes more sense to me; I suspected something like that...but it is hard to keep up with all the name changes, especially from Intel. :)
