R51 to T41 hard disk swap

I am using an R51 in a dock as desktop replacement
Have replaced the drive with an 80g 7200.
I use a 2.5" remote drive for back up using Casper.

I have just acquired a T41.

Can I fit the back up drive to the t41 and have it boot and run successfully for use when traveling??

I could then clone this drive at end of trip and use in R51 without loss or interruption.
