X60, T60, X40 Dual Monitor question

#1 Post by MickyMiguel » Thu Oct 12, 2006 2:42 pm

Hello Everyone...

Just wanted to say I've been reading around and all the advise has been great.

No to my question...

I need to know if the x40, T60 and x60 all support Dual Monitors as in Two table monitors hookups. This means, without the use of the laptop monitor itself. Could this be done through some sort of USB device or PCI Card or anything else? My manager is up my @$$ and I really need an answer.

Let me know either way...

So far I've looked around and I know it can support extended monitors but I want to know about the DUAL MONITOR capability.

Any advise would definitely help...

Thanks in advance,
Miguel

There are many possible solutions.

1. http://www.villagetronic.com/
2. http://www.matrox.com/graphics/offhome/dh2go/home.cfm
3. http://www.maxivista.com/
4. http://www.usbgear.com/USB2_SVGA_USB_video_carD/

The T60 also supports the Advanced Dock, where you can add a separate video card and get a total of six external displays (quad on card plus two on dock). Add the other solutions, and you can fill a whole wall.
Apathy is on the rise, but nobody seems to care.
