How do you even get cell service without caller ID?

You need to upgrade your cell provider John, Ethiopia has better cell phone cervice than yours! I used to drive to Toronto all the time from my office in Buffalo and never had the cell phone problems you're experiencing.

My provider offers Caller ID, I just don't opt for it. If I can take the call, I will, and if I cannot, then caller ID doesn't help as I let it go to voice mail. My cell phone is on 24x7 except 2x per week overnight when I charge it. .. JD Hurst

I have a Motorola Timeport 280

I had that phone (or similiar model), but I knew mine as a P280. It was my favorite phone when it came out, and I still find it attractive. If it was reissued with a color screen, I'd buy it right away.
