where to buy trackpoint

Hey guys,

Any ideas where can get more trackpoint caps for real cheap?

my soft dome of 2 years is wearing flat, and the cat's tougue thing is chipped a bit.. and i hate my last option.

I just bought three Soft Dome caps on eBay for $6.47.

$9.99 for a set of 6 from Lenovo does not seem too bad. I just went to checkout to see what the delivered price would be. For me, there is $0.41 tax, and no charge for UPS ground. Total cost: $10.40.

That's a good price. However, I only like the Soft Dome, so I would end up throwing away four of the six caps!

My purchase off of eBay a couple of days ago was an assortment of cat's tongue and soft lips (20 for $26.98 ). I'll be selling off the 10 soft lips for $1.40 shipped USPS First Class. In case you're wondering, that's 39 cents for postage and $1.01 for the cap. Assuming I sell all 10 soft lip caps, then that brings my final price for the 10 cat's tongue caps to $1.69 each.

I had no idea you could even swap the trackpoint...very cool! I hate the cat's tongue one on my T20, I'd love to switch to the inverted one. Off to eBay I go!

Very cool indeed. I just swapped the Cat's Tongue on my friend's TP240 with a Soft Dome. He didn't know that's possible and he liked the new cap infinitely more than the old one.

I actually have a rubber classic dome trackpoint cap on my 600. I had a soft rim one, but it always seemed to pop off when I used it. I like this rubber classic dome cap a lot, stays on very well. My favorite is the soft dome cap, but i never seem to be able to find one for free.

I ended up buying a pair of Soft Rim style ones off eBay for around $6.50 shipped, and I like it infinitely better than the Cat's Tongue. I'm glad I found this thread!
