Want opinion about IBM ThinkVision L170 monitor

#1 Post by gator » Mon Apr 23, 2007 9:43 pm

I have an offer for a IBM ThinkVision L170 monitor (model # 6734-AB0) - 17" at 1280*1024. Monitor is still under warranty, and am getting it for ~$50 ... I saw the monitor and it is good condition ... Any one using this monitor? Is this good? Any info is appreciated ...

Only $50??!!! Grab it right away! I haven't used this particular model, but have a 17" 1280x1024 LCD monitor (a Dell) at work and love it because it has the same resolution as 19" monitors but is smaller, so I can save space. I really like these monitors with relatively high pixel densities, i.e. 17" 1280x1024, 20" UXGA, 20" WSXGA+ and 23" WUXGA.

$50 is a good price for any 17" LCD. The current used market price starts around $90...

Definitely get it. I use several at work (in conjuction with 4 T221's....ooohh now there's a monitor!) and they're great. I can't make any comments on how it works for photo editing (color reproduction, etc.) but it's a great monitor and for $50 you can't beat it.

I use to use one and it worked great, for $50 I would go for it.

Don't wait too long! You don't want someone else to beat you to it!

No, the seller is another student ... he is out of town. I will snag it as soon as he comes back.
