Lenovo F20 12.1" Ultraportable with DVD ?

#1 Post by beeblebrox » Thu Apr 26, 2007 3:44 am

I wondered what happened to the Lenovo F20

http://en.red-dot.org/317+M57c79c09d75.html

It got a red-dot award in 2006 and is supposed to be on sale in only a red Coca Cola edition for EUR 999,-

They say, it is available in business black and silver.

Is it China only, or available else where?

I can't seem to find any info. about it on lenovo's website but on googling, certain websites claim it to be released before the 2008 Olympics.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

Unfortunately one of those pictures reveals that the keyboard layout is far from ThinkPad standard. Still can't match S30.

BTW it has external DVD only.

I saw that they sell it as a custom Coca-Cola Edition. slightly different batteries, odd Coca-Cola lid.

The red-dot F20 however would go nicely with my Red Ipod Nano!!

I guess that would explain source of the olympic laptop http://www.engadget.com/2007/04/28/leno ... -revealed/

btw. if that palmrest has those swirls molded in the plastic itself, I want it on the t60...art without being too strong for the business black thinkpad!

Interesting! Nice notebook, looks like the Acer Ferrari style.

I guess, the swirls are just printed (and will be scratched by usage away after some time...)
