I like the stash card -- very creative :)

I always carried a portable surge protector and earbuds with my ThinkPad. That was pretty much it, since everything else was integrated in the machine.

If you ebay then try this.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

For those of us that travel in 'steerage', that is what it would be; a 'brick'.

I second the ac/dc power pack, which I really enjoy even if its a bit larger than the regular ac only adapter.

I also use the SATA hdd adapter, an IBM ultranav usb keyboard (travel) and logitech alto keyboard (for at home), and a custom lexan base to keep my t60 off dirty tables.

My AC Adapter

That's about it for me. I travel light and my laptop can connect to nearly any network or via cell phone if there is no network.
