Is widescreen here to stay for good?

i don't want to be mirroring the other post "what is wrong with Lenovo."
My question is are T and R series going to stay widescreen only or is lenovo going to let their customers get 4:3. Honestly I would be willing to pay even extra $100-$200 to get 4:3.
