Anyone have a number for management at Lenovo?

#1 Post by CoolRunnings » Fri Aug 31, 2007 12:29 pm

I'll spare you guys the rant but I ordered a Thinkpad T60 the other day and it came without a wireless card though I'd specifically requested one. I found this when I opened the box and they want to charge me a restocking fee to return the item since I opened the box. 1.5 hours later and 8 transfers and hold time later, I get some foreign sounding guy on the phone giving me pushback and refusing to put me in touch with a manager. Anyone here know of a way I can get to upper level management and get them to wipe out the restocking fee and just make this right? I NEVER had issues like this with IBM... Apparently Lenovo is now in the exact same class as Dell for customer service (except that Dell's less of a pain in the backside when it comes to getting in touch with management).

I don't want to speak for them, but I do believe one of the moderators here might be able to help you in this regard-I think they have for others. Then again, people from Lenovo do monitor these boards as I had an issue earlier this year and I was contacted via PM from someone in the executive management team.

You can also send an e-mail to the CEO of Lenovo and you should get a response within a day or so. I don't have that e-mail address handy, but a quick search on Lenovo's site will get you there.

Good luck in your resolution.
I lost count...

SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME!!!!

Got my new T60 in a decent amount of time, reinstalled the OS...no wireless card..nothing. Called up Lenovo...spent 2 days at work getting it sorted out. If I recall I complained loudly and often, they eventually sent me a wireless card to install myself.

Glad to know I'm not alone!

Oh, so this isn't a first eh? I am getting ready to draft a letter to the CEO of Lenovo. I am astonished that their customer service is that poor. I've sold tons of used IBM laptops before and recommend the new ones regularly but at this rate, if they don't fix this issue for me I'm going to have to stick to buying used or something. I can't afford for something like this to happen to my clients...
