Is the tabook still useful?

It used to be that the tabook was the "ultimate" source of information on available models. This is obviously not so anymore. There are many configurations available today that are not in the tabook at all. What is the best source of available configurations today?

Indeed, the Tabook is useless for "CTO" models. To look up info about CTO models, you need to look up the laptop's serial number on Lenovo's site.

That's exactly why I said that the Tabook is useless for CTO models, and that one needs to look up the serial numbers of individual units. I think most if not all preconfigured models are still listed in the Tabook.

The Tabook has also never been useful for global models (NNNN-XXG) as opposed to US models (NNNN-XXO).

However, it is a good estimate of what configurations are available. I have yet to see it miss some existing option , even though it doesn't include all existing combinations. Furthermore, the amount of detail it provides on the little things in the laptop is very useful.[/i]

I refer to it quite alot. It has alot of useful information that the PPG doesn't have. (product and price guide - only available to business partners in europe). In fact for sometime now, although released monthly, it hasn't had any prices in it. It is in NO way as detailed and informative as the tabook, that's why I go looking.
