A good time would be now, while you can still get a T60 (14.1" SXGA+ or 15" SXGA+/UXGA Flexview). ;)

This year no hint about new releases, as new processor family (Nehalem) is about to be launched by Intel and with Christmas season arround the corner it is feasible that new models be released soon, I would wait until after Thanksgiving... (black friday isn´t it?)

Huh ?

Nehalem is a year or so out.

Penryn will probably make it into notebooks in early 2008, followed by the Montevina platform (new chipset, WiMax and wireless card, and Penryns with appropriate bus speeds) sometime midyear.
T41 and T410

I think the rated power consumption will drop from 35 W to 25 W.
