Annoyed: Dumb girl unplugged my laptop

#1 Post by rxblitzrx » Thu Nov 15, 2007 9:44 pm

I'm at my local coffee shop and I come prepared. I pack my T61, mouse, power brick, and extension cord. Obviously there's only so many accessible outlets.

So I'm sitting here surfing the pr0n sites and this stupid girl with a MacBook (obviously knows $*#& about computers) asks if she can use my extension cable to plug in.

I say: "Sure, go ahead." The stupid &*%@# UNPLUGS MY CORD, plugs hers in, and then plugs mine in on the other side!!!

WTFREAK???

So my question is...
Is it bad for you to unplug your laptop for 5 seconds and then plug it back in?

Some people are so freaking stupid. And I say this from the stand point that she could have just used one of the other two available slots.
:x :x :x

Calm down :) . There should be no problem with removing AC power for a couple of seconds. As long as your battery was charged enough to supply full power for those few seconds, you were in no danger of any surges. This from somebody who always plugs and unplugs powered up systems into AC adapters and/or powered port replicators and who has never suffered any damage. And I also own a Macbook :) .
