A problem occurred while loading the System Update configura

#1 Post by sheynk » Fri Dec 07, 2007 6:37 pm

Hello,

I am trying to get system update 3.1 to run and get the following error message:

A problem occurred while loading the System Update configuration settings. Please wait while System Update restarts

You are prompted to click OK...but then the message just reappears in a few seconds. Task manager is the only way to close out the application. Reinstalling System Update has not worked.

I am running Vista Business. This problem seems to be bothers quite a few people:

I called lenovo and they could not help me....so they transfered me to the experts who said they will help for $100 dollars with no guarantee of actually solving the issue.

If anyone has a solution to this issue please help!!!

Thanks,

Gary

Have a look at the following thread:

A problem occurred while loading the System Update configura.

Which machine you're using, is the mentioned OS an oem lenovo preload or a retail version of Windows?
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,

I installed Vista myself back in May...this is my first issue really.

I am using a core 2 duo x60 (the top x60 you could get before x61 came out if that helps).
