Thinkpad Buying guide/rumors/release dates

Is there an index of past lenovo thinkpad release schedules so that we can know when to buy and when to wait?

Also, where are the rumors/speculations? I don't see any.

If it's correct that Penryn based notebooks will be announced on January 6 2008 you may probably assume that ordering one on January 6 2008 will maximize your utility and the utility will gradually decline in hesitation with ordering.

Thanks hdahl but do you think that this will affect the specs of the r61e or the cheapest r61i?

I don't know, but it will probably affect the T61p (or whatever model type it will be) TopSeller machine, which I could imagine compares to the R machines in price but are a whole lot nicer!

Have you checked out the current T61p TopSeller offering, doesn't it compare quite well to the R machines?
