Potential competition to X200

Laptops are getting smaller and smaller. HP is surely not standing still. Here is their latest UMPC.

Am I the only one wondering what the point of devices like this and the Eee is? It seems absurd to buy a device like this instead of either a Blackberry/QWERTY smartphone (for email/connectivity on the go), a real UMPC (held in your hands, no need for a horizontal surface, no hardware keyboard, touchscreen, around 7" screen), or a laptop with a 10-11" screen that actually fills the top cover and pointing devices that aren't a complete pain to use.

Any Eee owners around? What do you use it for?

Everyone knows that I am a big fan of high-DPI screens, but this one is just too much: 176.1 DPI!

A small thing - since it's 16:10 (i presume) it's 1280x800.
I think it's more important to have a high quality LCD with a good contrast ratio and decent chromatography. The smaller LCDs can come in high resolution but always lack the two former requirements severely compared to larger screens.

Qviri, me neither. I've heard from quite a few Eee buyers that the laptop keys are way to small. Well...
As you suggested i think a smart-phone would be the way to go and doesn't run out of battery in 4-5 hours. But of course, apps aren't compatible with x86 OSs - most of them at least aren't.
