No warranty upgrade on Lenovo site?

Hi,

while configuring laptop on US Lenovo site yesterday (March, 17) there where no Warranty Service Upgrade (WSU) available to choose from (only WSU plus Accidental Damage Protection) and I had to place the order before St. Patrick went to sleep (discounts). They were available few days ago. Does it mean they won't be available at all or they were just sold out for that moment and I can purchase it later as usual. I want to purchase FRU 41C9173 (1YR Depot to 5YR Depot). If there is no possibility to upgrade warranty I would consider cancelling the order, one year is too short.

If everything goes as usual and upgrade is available, should I wait till laptop is delivered or order the WSU right now to add it to my current order?

And finally, is there a way to order WSU from Lenovo on-line (couldn't find this FRU) or one must to call Lenovo support.

It looks like for Europe you are to call your local business partner for warranty upgrades.

Sorry, I didn't say it earlier, but my location doesn't play role in the question. Laptop is being bought in US and I was told to buy the WSU in US, too. It is not sure if one can extend the original 1YR US warranty, with the warranty upgrade in Europe. The model (4058) is covered by International Warranty Service, contrary to Thinkpad Protection, which should be applicable only in the country of purchase, as far as I know. Other opinions welcome.

Call the Lenovo US number listed on the WSU site. They should be able to offer you the warranty upgrade. But they only take credit cards with US billing addresses.
