Lenovo At Their Finest...

My new T500 was shipped with a defective keyboard.

After just a few hours of use one afternoon, the "O" key cap popped off. I took a close look and noticed the mechanism that it snaps onto, had one broken pin. A call to Lenovo tech support late that afternoon was all it took. They were courteous and agreed a new keyboard was required to replace the defective one. After processing my claim, they issued a case number and said that they would ship it via two day service.

Imagine my surprise when the next day at 9:30am the new keyboard arrived! In less than 24 hours I had received the new keyboard and installed it, problem resolved.

Now _that_ is the type of service I'm used to from the old IBM ThinkPad division, and the first time I've had such a positive experience with Lenovo. Let's hope this is an indicator of things to come.

I too found Lenovo great.Was for here in Canada tho.
I bought a used T43(did not turn on,got it for parts i thought).Got it on a Thursday.I then found out there is still warranty till Sept on it.
I filled out a request to Lenovo on Friday afternoon.They call back and said a new motherboard is on the way.
Monday morning i get a call from the repair center here in town saying he cant make it out to my place for the install for 4 or 5 days.The system has on site warranty.But he said if i drop it off he can do it that day.They are only 10 min drive so i did that.Got it back that day.They also put a new keyboard on it.
Then when i got it back,used it a few days,i found the screen dimm.
I sent another online request about the screen on Thursday.They call back saying one is on the way.Friday lunch time i got the new screen to my door.
I installed it and words great.
I found lenovo very nice and went out of there way to help me get the T43 back running again.
