The warranty on my X61 tablet expires on May 2, 2009 - a mere twenty-three hours from now. I want to extend my warranty. I find the 41C9180 for $150 online:
http://www.onsale.com/shop/detail~dpno~ ... epair.aspx
which seems pretty reasonable for four additional years of coverage, so I want to buy it. But since my warranty expires tomorrow, will I have trouble?
The website says to call them, which I guess means I would talk to a human being. Is the human being I get capable of getting my warranty extension in before I am out of coverage? If I call them at 10 AM May 1st and pay $150, can I get coverage until 2013 like I want? Or do I have to call Lenovo and pay a higher price? Lenovo's price for the 5-year extended warranty is high enough that I'd probably just get the three-year warranty if I had to call them.
Also, is the 41C9180 compatible with the X61 tablet? I thought I read somewhere that it might not be, but I'm not sure.
I really shouldn't leave all this stuff to the last minute..
