Hello,
not sure, if this is the right subforum.
I had to deal with a local Lenovo service provider here in Germany over the last two months because of a repair job. This service provider, although really friendly staff, turned out to be very incompetent: They kept on loosing my personal data ("what was your number again", 3 times), lack of knowledge about technical details, handling time was unacceptable (I was told it would take 2 weeks, then it took 2 months), the repair job was only done partially and so on. To cut it short: Not what I (or at least thought) I have paid for.
Now my question is: What are my options? The actual repair job itself was apparently done by the main IBM repair center, but the shop billed me. I have not yet transacted the money and wont do so in the near future, as the repair isnt finished yet. But I also shy away from sending them my laptop again - who knows how many months it would take this time and in the end they might even lose it...
Also: Is Lenovo interested in those cases? If yes - which departement is the one to call/write to? If Lenovo doesnt care, this has probably been the last time I paid top money for less than average support.
All the best,
Martin

Re: Very unhappy with Lenovo Service Partner - what to do?
Was the repair regarding the crack in the base unit of your X60s mentioned in another thread? What hasn't been repaired properly, or as you say, only partially repaired?
If the machine did go to the main IBM repair centre, I am very surprised that you have a grievance. I've been dealing with them for over 8 years and never ever had a single reason to complain about quality. When a system comes back from them there is always a questionaire form asking you to score them, do you have this form?
I'm sure Lenovo would be interested to hear your story, as would very likely the repair centre. Lenovo Germany.

Re: Very unhappy with Lenovo Service Partner - what to do?
What hasnt been taken care of is a scratching noise from the processor fan. It also got damaged from the drop. Another thing is, that my screen "jitters" from time to time whenever the machine is on 8-cell-battery.
I totally believe, that the repair center does a great job. I assume, that the service partner just forgot to tell them about those problems. And as the processor fan is only on during heavy load and the jittering also only occurs randomly, those things probably slipped through final testing.
