Lenovo ordering website down?

I tried ordering a ThinkPad all day today through the Lenovo website but kept getting an error when submitting my credit card information. I called my credit card company and they said they had no payment requests on my credit card.

Is the Lenovo order processing down this weekend or something? I'd like to take advantage of the web only 15% off coupon before this weekend is over.

I've been having the exact same problem. At the same stage of the ordering sequence today. This also occurred about two weeks ago on a Sunday so there was no one to call. I placed a call to them on the following Monday and spoke to both a salesperson and his supervisor. Neither seemed to care much. When I have an experience like this after being a loyal customer for so long, I'm reminded about the continuing decline in the way they do business. It's very discouraging.

Ok, thanks for the information. I'm happy that it's not just me, but sorry that others are having the same problem.

I don't mind waiting until Monday to order the laptop, but if I'm not able to still get the 15% discount, I'll be very annoyed.

I would encourage you to keep trying. They could fix the site at any time. If you wait and the discount expires this weekend they will probably not give you the same price over the phone Monday. That's what they pulled on me saying that they cannot be responsible for errors with the site. Two different departments. Web sales vs. Telesales. I eventually got the discount but it took two hours of pushing them to escalate the call up to someone that actually cared about selling computers. The level of apathy was discouraging to say the least.

Yes, this is very true. It's an unfortunate result of Lenovo's less than serious approach to web marketing. They've always been quite weak in this area. Lenovo has a massive never ending supply of excuses, as to why they simply let the sales portion of the web site flounder.

Maybe its their way of not alienating their partners like PCconnection and CDW among others. If you can't buy direct who will you buy from?

I just ordered the my T400 via the phone and they still gave me the discount, no problem at all.
