Fanless Thinkpads in the near future?

#1 Post by agarza » Thu Jul 02, 2009 11:51 pm

I was wondering now that Intel Pinewood new processors are rated to be used fanless, when we could expect to have mainstream 14" Thinkpads to operate without the annoying fan.
I'm also curious to know for example how many years should have to pass so that playing modern games like GTA IV to be able to run on Integrated Graphics instead of hungry-power-sucking GPU's that only heat up the laptop.

Well, other manufacturers have used fanless designs for quite a while now. Panasonic in my signature has no fan, and coupled with ULV processor it works rather well. It does get hot when pressed hard, though.
