Good support experience

#1 Post by Kopsis » Wed Jul 29, 2009 2:43 pm

I called Lenovo support at 7pm last night to complain about a squeaky Trackpoint button on my X200s and had a replacement keyboard at my front door by 10am today! I've seen a number of complaints about Lenovo support so I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by this experience. It did take a while to convince the support rep that my ThinkPad didn't have a touchpad, but once I convinced him to pull up a picture of the X200s, it was smooth sailing :)

Thanks Lenovo! :thumbs-UP:

I'll have to agree with you that Lenovo has great support. I had a squeaky palm rest a few days ago and I realized that there was a hairline crack near the edge. There was no drop or anything of such but anyways I called them up and told them about it. A new palm rest at the door 2 days later. Thanks Lenovo!

Whenever it comes to CRUs (customer replaceable units), Lenovo just ships them to you. There are very little problems with that, and very little that can go wrong. They also don't seem care if it is user-inflicted damage or even if it's a real problem.

When it comes to an actual repair job done in the lab, this is usually done by subcontractors, and this is when problems can begin (badly performed jobs, accusations of user damage, missing parts, etc.)
