How to make USB Numberpad Type Numbers w/out Num Lock?

I bought a usb numpad to go with my new USB Thinkpad Keyboad (pretty nice, keyboard isn't as good as my T60p though -not enough click). However to type numbers on the numpad you have to have Num lock on, which defeats the point of the numpad, since the keyboard starts typing numbers when num lock is on. So I either need to disable the keyboard function, or make the numpad type numbers w/out num lock.

hope that makes sense.

p.s. after typing this I'm not sure how long I'll be using this keyboard, might have to switch back to the super clicky Unicomp, but the trackpoint is so crappy on that thing...

I am not in Windows to check, but I think Keyboard Customizer might do that for you.

no go, the lenovo software has no option for changing what I need
