Thinkpads NOT in use:

700c: This was my father's first real laptop and really exposed me to the trackpoint and created my disdain for anything touchpad. It still works, but the bulb is just about dead.

701c x2: Bought these guys off of ebay, just to have some fun. Great design. It's honestly too bad that IBM did not use that design for other laptops. I never really had a chance to use it as a main PC since the laptop was about 8 years old when I started collecting them.

T40p & T40: great laptops. I used the T40p as a primary computer in college. Did spread sheets, word docs, and video game emulation on there (mostly sega genesis games).

Thinkpads in use:

SL500: My mother's laptop which I cannot get away from her.

X200: Just received this yesterday and it is what I am using to type this post. I was not sure if I could get away with a 12.1" screen and 1280x800 resolution, which is much much smaller than what I am used to (dual 1920x1200 monitor set up on my desktop), but the transition has gone on without a hitch. I couldn't be happier with this tiny laptop.
Thinkpad: x200 p8600 2.4ghz (probably won't OC) / 2x2gig ddr3 1066 / HDD = ? / WIN 7 (adding OSX & Ubuntu later)

Desktop: MSI K9A2 Plat / PII 945 @ 3.75ghz / G. Skill 2x2gig ddr2 1000 / 120gb ocz agility / gtx260 core 216 / IBM trackpoint keyboard :D

T61: Use for work, school, test platform for different BSD/Linux OS's.
T30: Cheap laptop that stays in my car, the only thing I've installed on it is HPTuners software.

T400 is the best I've ever owned (better than T60p and T42p). I may be buying an old T23 one which I would run Win2K and mostly use to play Age of Empires and to open files I'm nervous about before allowing on my network.

The new T410 and T410s are extremely interesting, and I may just upgrade later in the year.

My T400 has been flawless. The original keyboard had some flex, but I replaced it with an NMB from a T61 (thanks, Lenovo). I have a spare T400 NMB in the desk drawer that I traded for on the forum, and will install when I eventually sell this machine (to get a T410).

My T400 has the switchable graphics, 1440X900 display, T94000 processor, 4 GB RAM and a 500 GB 7200 RPM Seagate hard drive and Verizon 3G. About the only thing short of being max spec is that I have no camera and the CCFL backlight.

My only real wish is for more graphics power. The ATI 3470 is a bit weak for the latest games, but with medium settings I get by. I use this for writing, web browsing, email and calendaring and of course, playing Fallout 3, Mass Effect and Crysis, which wants more GPU muscle.
