Warranty question on IBM certified used equipments!

Hi there, I recently bought a thinkpad off IBM Canada website which was listed as a certified used equipment with 3-month limited warranty.
However when I got the machine and checked the serial number on lenovo website, it has a much longer and better warranty.
Just curious if the warranty stays this way or IBM will change the warranty in a few days.

btw, I was under the impression that certified used = refurbished, but NO, the battery only holds 50% charge and there are scratches everywhere. But it does function well

Count on them changing the warranty sometime soon. If you're lucky they might just forget...

scratches are only present in "slightly blemished" machines. if you got a scratched machine I would return it to IBM certified and order a new one. you have 7 days to do so with no questions asked.
