Hi A31,

Welcome to another Brit. :)

The only problem with quoting the Daily Mail is it being part of Associated Newspapers which, as a company, has always taken a right-of-centre approach to life. OK if they are the only quotable source but one has to ask, or decide, whether it is a scoop or political spin. Has anyone else supported the news story? Is it fact or is it a journalist filling the pages?

My preferred approach is to avoid quoting left or right wing publications; Fox news or Socialist Worker, for example.

Supported news stories by BBC World Service (which is on the radio) are probably the cleanest in the world ... that is always arguable ... but at least they try very hard to publish facts.

Oh boy. The Daily Mail... well... I always *do* like a good bit of fiction. :)

It's deals like this, that show that mainframes are not out of the picture by a long shot.
You can't run something like that on a server, you need more "oomph".
On a different note: the proclaimed job losses are for civil 'servants' who do little enough as it is anyway. :jhem:
