Worst condition fully operational Thinkpad you own.

#1 Post by Unknown_K » Wed Jan 13, 2010 12:44 am

Looking over my collection I have to say my 760ED is probably in the worst condition. It has plastic pieces missing, no RAM cover, bezel on the LCD is broken in a few places, keyboard is a bit stiff, scratched up on top, broken keyboard latch, missing screw covers, etc. While it looks ugly it is 100% functional (outside of the main battery) and the 1024x768 screen is flawless.

I know we all have parts machines (don't count), but what is your worst looking fully functional Thinkpad?

I only have one ThinkPad but it's pretty worn, it's my A31. The screen bazel has come unclipped in places, it overheats badly, I cannot use it with the battery in, the left arrow key is missing but all the plastic pieces and screws remain present. However my R40 wasn't all that good either with missing PCMCIA slot covers...

But there are some good things about this laptop, read this topic http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=83199
Lenovo ThinkPad L540 | Core i5 4200M | 8GB 1600MHz RAM | 1920x1080 Display | UltraNav with Fingerprint Reader | Seagate SSHD 1TB | 720p Webcam | 6 Cell 56Wh Battery | Windows 8.1 Pro x64

Past: IBM ThinkPad A31, R40
