#1 Post by visionviper » Tue Feb 09, 2010 12:00 pm

ISS Tour

I always knew they had a few up there but if watch through the video you get an idea of just how many they have up there. I don't think I saw any non-Thinkpad laptops in the video!

They are ThinkPad A3x
The A3x's are easy to recognise as they have 6 multimedia buttons on the left hand side of the keyboard.

I can see why they use ThinkPads (especially A3x) on the ISS... they don't go wrong!! :D And when you are floating around in space, buying replacement parts for laptops is probably very hard.
Lenovo ThinkPad L540 | Core i5 4200M | 8GB 1600MHz RAM | 1920x1080 Display | UltraNav with Fingerprint Reader | Seagate SSHD 1TB | 720p Webcam | 6 Cell 56Wh Battery | Windows 8.1 Pro x64

Past: IBM ThinkPad A31, R40

Plus they were the first certified Laptops by NASA.
As my wife said after viewing the video, "Hmm, makes me feel right at home" :D
