TOO MANY good deals there, check out the batteries or docks, if you are not intending to get yet another Thinkpad (or a netbook for below $200).

Re: Lenovo outlet 20% off now
Hey, thanks for the tip. Picked up a couple W700 170w chargers and a battery for really good prices
Re: Lenovo outlet 20% off now
I picked up a 7 cell Z61T battery and an S10 Netbook. Final price for both items was $220 shipped
Re: Lenovo outlet 20% off now
Wow! What a great deal! Let us know how you like the S10, I really like mine. When used in the context it was designed for (light use, web surfing, email, etc) I truly have fun. Its so small its perfect as a grab & go machine when I'm off to Starbucks.Harryc wrote:I picked up a 7 cell Z61T battery and an S10 Netbook. Final price for both items was $220 shipped

Re: Lenovo outlet 20% off now
I'm debating whether I should get a S10. I have been avoid netbooks because I know they were slow and (relatively, compared to say Thinkpads) poorly built. But at a price below $200, these concerns are not concerns at all. Just that I don't know what to do with it after I bought it... lol Maybe experience with Linux? or Chrome OS? How is Linux support for the S10?
Maybe I should just get another X200 battery

Re: Lenovo outlet 20% off now
Yeah, i checked back on the site several times today and it's obvious that the 20% discount has been DISCOVERED...really bogged down.
That said, I noticed several items that were either sold out and gone or reduced on the remaining inventory count.
This one may clean 'em out a bit...wonder if this has anything to do with the tech roll they're doing on several laptops?

Re: Lenovo outlet 20% off now
Some nice deals that I found:
(1) There were some $5xx-$6xx (before applying coupon!) 2.4Ghz Core 2 Duo equipped X200 there yesterday. Of course they were gone now. But there are still some nice X200 that cost below $700 after coupon. The X300/X301 are not so hot, considering that MS store was doing 40%-50% off for them in the last few weeks.
(2) X200 9-cell battery, $45 before coupon. They have more than 70 of them, probably won't be gone very quickly.
(3) Ideapad S10 with 1.6Ghz Atom, 1GB Ram, 160GB 5400rpm HDD, XP Home, 3-cell battery, $220 before coupon. Quantity > 800, won't be gone anytime soon (i guess).
(4) Lenovo 90W slim charger ~$50 before coupon (not the ultra slim one).
Too bad I've just bought a X200 with 9cell battery 2 weeks ago, and just purchased another 6-cell battery from the outlet (w/o coupon...) last week. I am now considering whether I should get another 9-cell, just to leave it in my office as spare/emergency battery, or just that I don't have to carry the 9-cell with me all the time.

Re: Lenovo outlet 20% off now
I was able to snag a well-spec'd T500 (WSXGA+, dedicated graphics, fast CPU) for 723 after taxes + shipping. Good deal! [censored] near impossible to actually get through the checkout process though... (No small thanks to Zend...)

As a brand new member I hate to say anything negative but I would like some insight please from long-term members. As a professinal photographer I am somewhat cloned to Macs. But with the W700 my interest was peaked. With the recent 20% off the outlet price I thought it was time to jump in and see if the praise of the W700 was warranted. Got to the checkout part of the website TWICE and NEVER could get through after hours of trying. This got me thinking if Lenovo does not care enough to provide a reasonable website to purchase its product perhaps it gives this same lack of care to its support as well as its product.
Very frustrated. Wrote to the "contact us" and have not heard back yet...it has only been a couple of days since so hoping to hear back in the future.
So my questions are, Was this just a fluke concerning the inability to purchase through the website? If I give it another try when do you think that another SAVE20 or other discounts will be offerred? Not willing to pay full price for a "looks see" since it is an almost outrageous price to pay PLUS then you have to buy new software of a PC.
Thanks for your help.

Lenovo outlet crashing a horrible death: Yep, thats normal.BradR wrote:So my questions are, Was this just a fluke concerning the inability to purchase through the website?
Totally confused ordering process when a new model comes out: Happens again and again.
If the laptops weren't the best around I would shop somewhere else
Re: Lenovo outlet 20% off now
The outlet is a place where Lenovo sells their refurbished items, with prices usually already much lower than "brand new". This SAVE20 promotion is a rare event. In fact I haven't seen better deal than this in the last few years. This deal has been posed on every shopping/hot-deal forum, and people simply flooded their servers. You probably won't see another promotion as sweet as this anytime soon, if at all.BradR wrote:As a brand new member I hate to say anything negative but I would like some insight please from long-term members. Just like purchasing on Dell website, paying full price to buy on Lenovo website is stupid. At any moment in time, there are quite a number of coupons that can be used on Lenovo.com to take 5%-20% off (off the full price, not outlet price). Just check regularly your favorite deal website (e.g. fatwallet.com, slickdeals.net etc) to see what coupons are available.
Re: Lenovo outlet 20% off now
Finally received my $38 shipped "scratch and dent" X200 9-cell battery. To my surprise, there is absolutely no scratch and no dent on it, and it has a charge cycle count of 0 (maybe they reset the cycle count?).
