Inprove you thinkpad for only £2 or $3.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3x-TrackPoint-Red ... 3f0693431e
I bought a set of these the other day for my X61 and 600x because the old ones "looked dirty". I didn't realsie how much the old ones had worn, what a difference new caps make. Its like my finger is glued to the trackpoint.
Probably the best way to improve your thinkpad for less than a fiver.

@ rossmosis - Yes, they should fit just fine. These things are pretty much universal.
And thanks to Paul for reminding me that my supply of these is getting low. So I just bought a 15pk of the classic caps for $6.00.

Thanks Neil! Good to know, I love the soft dome on my L512 a lot more than the original classic fuzzy one on my 390x. I can imagine these TrackPoints are pretty germy after ten years of use. They sure do look like it. For a dollar you can't really go wrong!

I bought a set of these from this seller a couple weeks ago. Great deal for $1.37 delivered, and I am very happy with what I got.rossmosis wrote:Will these new ones on ebay fit a T20,T22,and 390x?

Re: Inprove you thinkpad for only £2 or $3.
I'd like a blue one. After all, IBM was known as Big Blue.
The Dell/HP ones are a different size. Is Toshiba the third company that uses the same ones as Dell and HP?
A friend of mine tried his Dell trackpoint on his TP and found it to be a little big.
Perhaps a squeeze of silicone and then pressing it on the TP nub to mold the silicone would work.
I don't recall if the outer dimensions were too large to fit between the TP keys.
There was an ebay seller who offered red, green and purple for TPs.
Black ones are extremely rare.

Yes, trackpoint1. I bought a set from her, which included a green, a purple and a black caps. They looked pretty good, but they got dirty really quickly. They didn't look good after a few weeks. I prefer the soft rim. I wish I could find some colored ones of those.ParatoOptimal wrote:There was an ebay seller who offered red, green and purple for TPs.

Where does she get them? I haven't seen anyone else selling them other than her for years.
I'm searching for trackpoint caps on ebay but she doesn't come up. How can I search for her?
Never mind, I found her but she doesn't seem to have any for sale.
