Yup yup yup! I just got a tweet about it. :D:D:D:D I remain disappointed that the 17" W series was canceled, however, but I DO HOPE that this is the permanent return of IPS screens for ALL high-end models, and not just the X series, even if it is a paid option. A lot of us have always maintained that we would happily pay a premium for this very premium screen technology, haven't we?

Let's get the option in the T and W series and let's get a 17" ThinkPad, whatever model number precedes it.

:thumbs-UP:
15-inch Core 2 Duo ThinkPad T60p | Ivy-Bridge (Late-2012) Mac mini w/ quad Core i7-3615QM 2.3GHz, 16GB DDR3-1600MHz RAM, 240GB+180GB Intel 520 Series SATA III SSD's, 5x3TB Drobo 5D

According the NBR review the real contrast ratio is 743:1. Much better than Lenovo's typical 150:1 or worse :-)
ThinkPad (1992 - 2012): R51, X31, X220, Tablet 8
