Thinkpad 750C

#1 Post by Kogey » Thu Apr 28, 2011 12:59 pm

So I'm sitting at work right now (I work at a PC repair shop) and I was looking in the basement for an HP ZD8000 that I can use the monitor from for a customers computer, and out of the corner of my eye I saw this Thinkpad, I opened the lid and it said "750C". The condition of the laptop is remarkable. I'm going to really see if I can buy this off of since it's just technically rotting in the basement anyways. What do you guys think I should do?

EDIT: I just took another look at it and one of the latches that holds the lid down is broken off, but other than that it's held up awesomely throughout the years. Also no power adapter for it (Found one on ebay)

Does it boot up? If it does talk to someone in charge, and see what they say. Don't offer a price right away, it it was just withering away in the basement you might get it for free.

I can't really test it because it doesn't have a power cord, but even if he just charged me like 20 dollars for it I wouldn't mind. There's a sticky note on it saying the only thing it needs is a power supply and it's in the good computer section (We have sections for good and bad computers).

Yeah, well if you haven't yet I would talk to someone then. If it's just sitting there I don't see why anyone would mind. I bet it would be a nice little project machine.
