Wanted to share: New 6 cel IBM battery $63 ($69 shipped)

I wanted to wait until I received it and tested it before endorsing it. Well, it arrived today.

I bought a brand new (not refurb) factory IBM 6 cell battery for my T42 from securemart.com for $69, including shipping. They shipped it via UPS (24 hours from the time I ordered it - it arrived within 5 business days).

It was the lowest price I found, I'm using it right now in lieu of my 9 cell, and it arrived it a sealed, authentic, IBM carton, with IBM tape/seal, and IBM Thinkpad battery manual.

I could not be happier. I have absolutely no affiliation with this company, but wanted to share my experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this company.

I think an important question would be: how old was the battery (ie. since it was manufactured)?

I'm not looking to buy a battery, but it's nice information for people to know if the place gets them new or has had them sitting around for a while.

Great tip, just ordered one myself. I actually wanted a second 9 cell, but for the price I couldn't pass it up.
