New to this forum?
First - On behalf of all the regulars, Welcome!

Here are a few things that will help.

When posting a question, please include the following:
  1. Descripion of the issue in the Subject Line (just yelling HELP won't win you any points)
  2. Model Number of your machine. There are many submodels within a line and the easiest way to identify your machine is with the model number (from the bottom of the unit).
    (4 digits 3 characters e.g. 2653 9AU)
  3. Any enhancements you've made to the machine (memory, WiFi Card, etc.)
  4. Operating System (Win XP Pro, Win XP Pro Service Pack 2 Release Candidate 1, Win 2k, etc.)
  5. What you have already tried already so we won't be suggesting things only to have you reply - "tried that already"
  6. Out of courtesy to people who do not have high speed access, please provide a link to large images instead of embedding them in your post.

    Code: Select all

    [ url=http://address/of/your/image]Descriptive Text[/url]
(remove extra space in the first tag).
Hint: put the info in points 1,2,3 above into your signature line.

Note: HTML is not supported in posts but BBCode is.

Good stuff!

But you left out a link to your own excellent ThinkPad site so here it is.

ADMIN EDIT Feb-2006: Jim Hope seems to have vanished along with his web site..
Anyone with any information, please let me know if Jim Hope is OK..
