IBM Thinkpad 600X bios chip

#1 Post by hcooll3 » Sat Feb 22, 2025 4:48 pm

does anyone know where or how I can identify the bios chip on a 600x system board? I want to reprogram it with ch341a mini programmer. A picture would be great.

Not only did I find the 600x bios chip, I also found out where my R51 bios chip was.

Does anyone know how to reprogram a 600x bios chip? I have a ch341a bios programmer and will soon have a nano bios programmer but do not know exactly how to do it.

If you already located the chip, the next step is making sure you’re pulling the correct dump and flashing the right file back to it. The 600X typically uses a 2-Mbit 5V parallel EEPROM (e.g., 28F002 or similar), and not all CH341A adapters support those voltages or pinouts without the proper 32-pin/40-pin adapter.
HEY SAM, please fix your location, your ip points to vietnam before i delete you
