T21 processor

I have repaired my Thinkpad T21 with parts from a broken one. It works fine but in the process of discovering the fault I have been swapping parts backwards and forwards. Now I've (hopefully) got everything working OK I noticed that the cpu is 524Mhz ? I was convinced it was 800 mhz, If so it must be in the broken one..... I don't want to go to the trouble of dismantling the laptop again unless I do have a better processor.
So, can anyone identify my processor, or point me in the right direction? Here's what is printed on it :-
7116A457. SL53P
KP 750/256
Any ideas gratefully received, this is my first post - I hope I've done it correctly

That's an Intel PIII 750MHz CPU.

It runs at a slower speed if there is no working battery attached.

Thanks very much for that. It's good news that it's a more poweful processor, but, mildly, bad news that I need to take the T21 apart again ;-)
It looks like rain tomorrow so I'll probably have a go then...
thanks again.

No need to take it apart!
Just put in the adapter and a working main battery, and it will run at 750MHz.
