I'll be very surprised if this merchant doesn't cancel your order as well or simply fail to deliver.

I hope you do know that the Toshibas are the hottest and noisiest drives on the market...I had the 6022GAS (i think), 5400 16 MB and immediately put it in an external case as the vibration/heat/noise was simply too much...

Stavros,
The new generation of Toshiba HDs, among which is the 100GB Rick has ordered, are supposed to have solved the noise, heat and vibration problems we've seen in their earlier offerings.
But no one has actually had their hands on the new drives, other than a few that were offered for review and then immediately recalled.
Personally, I'll believe they're fixed when I get my hands on one. I'm afraid that I share Rick's less than charitable opinion of Toshiba HDs.
