output from atheros minipci 802.11abg card ? replace for ...

hello,
i have a t42p with an atheros minipci 802.11abg card.
reception of the wifisignal is sometimes
below expectations.
does anyone know the output of this card.( is it a 35mw??)
would replacing this card with a SENAO 100mw give much better reception??
