Tiny Access Connections window - cannot be expanded/resized

#1 Post by Johan » Fri Apr 13, 2012 5:58 pm

I have been struggling with an annoying issue today, and I can't find out how to get it to work?? I recall having messed with it before, but I can't remember how I got it solved then - maybe there's someone here who can help??

The thing is that when I open (through the normal Fn+F5) the Access Connections (AC ver. 5.33) on a T60 of mine (a 2007-55U, running Win XP SP3 with all Windows Updates) the AC window is very, very tiny and actually only consist of part of the menu bar with the "Minimize" (the underscore-like icon) and "Close" (the white X on the red background) being visible and active... while the "Maximize" icon is not available (greyed out). The AC window is labeled T.... I simply cannot resize the window no matter what I try, and so I therefore cannot use AC.

Googling around a bit reveal that other users have had the same problem; e.g. as discussed in the threads Access Connections cannot resize GUI and Cannot expand Access Connections window in the latter where a user suggested to remove the Windows .NET patches KB976576 and KB977354 which I tried but without any effect... the AC window is still a very lill' totally tiny thing...

I have tried to uninstall AC, cleaned up the Windows Registry (via regedit) for all AC entries, reinstalling AC, but again... but unfortunately with absolutely no changes; the AC window remain very petite?!? :x

Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance!
