You (always!) have the option of buying spare parts directly from IBM; in Sweden check for yourself at IBM Sverige | Reservdelar | Service parts although they may not carry all parts any longer - and even if they do, they are known to be significantly more expensive compared to e.g. eBay (search http://www.ebay.com!)

What specific part(s) are you looking for??

Hi
I'm looking for a background illuminator for the display alt a complete display. I still see the text so it's the light that's the problem. It started to become pink/red and after some weeks dead.
It's a T60 14.1". Do You have any clues where to get this? //Plaincollar

As from what you are describing your CCFL (Google what this is, or search this forum!) is dying. Given that you apparently don't know what is the cause for the issue you're reporting, I'd not advice that you try replace the CCFL yourself - it is quite difficult even for experts (again; search this forum or search elsewhere for instruction/experience about "CCFL replacement").

You didn't tell us if your LCD is either XGA (1024x768) or SXGA+ (1400x1050)... what is it?? If you don't know this, please tell us the mode/type number that is stated on the label at the bottom of yuor T60 (e.g. something like 2007-QPG).

Any, no, don't even dream of buying a spare-LCD from IBM as an original sparepart.. you can probably buy at leasy five used T60's for the same price (!)

If you go the DIY way, this is exactly what you need: http://www.ccflwarehouse.com/20x290mmccfl.html
If yours is a Samsung brand LCD panel, forget it.
If it is TMD, you could do it yourself, with this info as help: http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=88991
It's not an easy job though!
