They keep saying LP150E05 (A2)(K1) is not a IPS-panel:
"No where in auction title does it state this is an IPS panel because we do not sell the IPS panel."

"This is the only web site that shows this as an IPS panel but the screen pre dates the IBM technology."
"I am afraid we do not have the exact part number in stock and just to make you aware that it does state in our terms and conditions that if we do not have the exact part number ordered, we will send an equivalent and this siwhat we have done."
So TN-Panel is equivalent to IPS-panel? They have "42T0325" in item description. How do I tell them it's an IPS-panel. Harware maintenance refers to FRU 13N7078, but I can't find 42T0325 anywhere in Lenovo site.
Question is, how do I tell them LP150E05(A2)(K1) = 13N7078 = 42T0325 = IPS?
Or am I the one who got confused?

So you paid about $130 (U.S. dollars) + about $30 shipping? And now you have a big mess on your hands...
This is why I "strongly dislike" it 
when members of this Forum tell people "check Ebay" or " Ebay is your best bet" without thinking twice. I wouldn't send my sister or brother to rude, crude Ebay, or ever recommend Ebay to a neighbor. Why? Because the Bible teaches me to "love my neighbor..." not to "lead them into danger."

RECKLESS to send people to Ebay, especially those who may be less experienced with FRU part numbers, which Ebay sellers use in their listing titles to get their item to show up in searches. The FRU part number system is a wonderful concept, but some Ebay sellers purposefully mis-use I.B.M./Lenovo FRU's to draw attention to their item. The item you receive is either a different FRU P/N or not a genuine I.B.M./Lenovo part to begin with, just an equivalent "compatible" part they are selling and which
they claim is "just as good."
Two simple questions to ask, before buying any part: "Is this a Genuine, O.E.M. I.B.M./ Lenovo Original part? If so, please tell me the
EXACT FRU P/N (Part Number) printed on it." If they say "Yes" to Question #1 and then provide the correct FRU P/N you want in Question #2, then great. Now, when you receive the item, if it does
not have the authentic I.B.M./Lenovo logos and name printed but has other tell-tale signs of a cheap, knock-off, Chinese made part, and of course no FRU P/N sticker as promised, then follow the excellent advice given by "emtee3511" above: If they refuse a refund, open a Paypal case, provide the original listing and also Ebay messages where they promised this is an original Genuine I.B.M. part with FRU printed on it. "Prey-pal" may take weeks to act but hopefully, by God's grace, they will do the right thing, and grant you a refund.
Remember,
Ebay owns Paypal (some people don't realize that, but that's a fact:

So it is not to Paypal's advantage to advance your claim or grant you a refund unless you force them to, because a refund= loss of $money$ for Ebay their buddy, which pockets a large "Final Value fee" from each sale. When the seller refunds you, they are supposed to refund the Final Value fee to the seller. But sometimes the greedy crooks still keep the Final Value fee:
"(Giving your buyer a refund doesn't automatically result in a final value fee credit.) Depending on how you close the case, you may receive a final value fee credit."

I could write a book on Ebay, Ebay scams and all of the deceptive practices being carried on by Ebay and Paypal, especially at the expense of new, inexperienced buyers. And not only buyers are being scammed, sellers are also routinely scammed on Ebay, with the help of Paypal:

After all, why would a thief report a thief? Thieves stick together, and share the loot afterwards.
After you report the crime, big brother Preypal comes along and they talk to you so nicely over the phone and are
supposedly shocked and outraged that an item was "not as described." They promise to get your money back. But the case sometimes drags along for weeks, marked as "Being reviewed by Paypal" [
hint: they're not truly reviewing or investigating, they're sitting on their big lazy bottoms and making you wait- hoping you will give up, click the button to close the case by accident (and thereby never be able to reopen it), or some poor old guy who doesn't know how to upload or fax documents will not dot all i's or cross all t's and the deadline will pass and they will split the final value fees with Ebay (as usual)].

How do these kinds of sellers maintain "100% Feedback?" It's all part of the game: Once they win or quickly settle the case, or have the case disqualified or dropped, the seller then petitions Ebay to have your NEGATIVE FEEDBACK removed. I've seen this over and over again, especially with big, powerful sellers, like this one.
So the seller who cheated you will continue to have "100% perfect Feedback." You see, by *acting* as if they are concerned about fraud, Prey-Pal covers up their own fraud, double-charges, hidden charges, unauthorized charges, trying constantly to gain access to people's bank accounts and pressuring people to sign up for their dumb Paypal Mastercard. As I said, why would a thief report a thief? Thieves (crooked Ebay, wicked Prey-Pal, and the dishonest seller) stick together, and share the loot afterwards.
I don't have time to prove my case further but perhaps I will make an "Ebay buyer beware guide" and post it on this Forum some day. Trust me, I've gotten ripped off on Ebay a few times myself, and had a hassle too many times to detail. I'm a little wiser now... And I know for a fact that Ebay and Paypal
purposefully foster an unsafe buying
and selling environment and are constantly using high-handed, unethical methods to steal money from honest buyers and sellers alike. They are constantly preying upon unsuspecting new-comers (new buyers
and new sellers), the naive, inexperienced, elderly, widows and weak members of society. They are worse than a "blue-collar" guy on the street who steals a loaf of bread because he is hungry. Their crime is corporate,
"white-collar" crime and they have reduced "sophisticated stealing" to an art-form. They make their money in the most underhanded ways, and the Internet is their alleyway, (a back street where Ebay and Preypal pounce upon and mug their unsuspecting victims).

white collar crime n. a generic term for crimes involving commercial fraud, cheating consumers, swindles, insider trading on the stock market, embezzlement and other forms of dishonest business schemes. The term comes from the out of date assumption that business executives wear white shirts and ties. It also theoretically distinguishes these crimes and criminals from physical crimes, supposedly likely to be committed by "blue collar" workers.
You must understand my anger at these creeps. I have a friend who
emailed me evidence proving that Preypal just tried to take almost $1,000 from her bank account for a
second time today, after pressuring her that she must become a "verified" Paypal member and "link her bank account," which she naively did. They have no explanation and no excuse for these 2 attempts at stealing her money whatsoever. They have no legitimate charge or claim to these funds. She was forced to close her bank account today to keep Prey-Pal from stealing her $money$. She made an official report against Paypal at her bank (who is on her side completely, and furious with Prey-pal). She also reported this
crime to IC3, the official government Internet Fraud bureau:

Back to your original question:
Yes, LP150E05 (A2)(K1) is a 15" LG-Phillips SXGA+ IPS panel with FRU 13N7078. FRU 42T0325 is the same exact IPS panel. One of the flaws in the I.B.M. FRU system seems to be that they begin to use different FRU's for the same part, especially when used on different Thinkpads, but they never fully update/broaden the list of FRU's in the HMM. So, as you mentioned, 13N7078 can be found right here in the T60/P 15" LCD service parts list:

The listing title of your auction states "LAPTOP LCD SCREEN LG LP150E05 (A2)(K1) 15" T60 42T0325" and indeed, 42T0325 is one of the FRU's which correspond to LG LP150E05 (A2)(K1) 15" SXGA+ panel, which is definitely
IPS. As I said before, Ebay sellers will do this kind of stuff to draw you in, exploiting the I.B.M. FRU system to make their listing come up in a search.
This is not an honest business practice, and having a clause which reads "We may ship a 100% compatible part," (which may have been their intention from the beginning?), does not get them off the hook. If the panel they sent you is
non-IPS, then it is
not a 100% compatible part with "LP150E05 (A2) (K1)" or "42T0325" anyway. They are not even in the same neighborhood
If they are selling a (supposedly) compatible, NON-OEM panel, they need to state that up front! Next time, email them and ask those 2 specific questions I suggest above.

Ebay is
